A project born from a month travelling around Japan.
The taxis would catch my attention each time, even in the varying environments in which I saw them. This continued even on my next visit.
They always seemed to take centre stage on the street's ‘mundane’ scenery. For taxis, they feel grungy, and yet they were always in pristine condition. This may be a little contradicting, I know. But what is certain, is to me they feel an iconic part of Japan's current identity.
